All MAC pneumatic conveying products and conveying equipment systems under go rigorous quality control checks and are manufactured to the highest industrial pneumatic conveying standards. Customers depend on our pneumatic conveying equipment and we are committed to honoring that trust.

Mac offers Dilute phase pneumatic conveying systems, also known as suspension flow pneumatic conveying, that operate on the principle that the solids will be suspended in the pneumatic conveying line air stream. This is accomplished by metering product into a moving air stream. Dilute phase pneumatic conveying velocities typically are greater than 3500 FPM and material to air ratios are less than 12 to 1. Individual particles in the air stream will have some separation by their suspension in the air stream.

Many products are commonly conveyed in dilute phase pneumatic conveying systems and equipment including: flours, resins and compounds, specialty chemicals, ground feeds, granular and pelletized products. In many cases, the product subject to conveying needs to be evaluated based on process needs and possibly lab tested prior to final air conveying or pneumatic conveying system selection to ensure the desired results can be achieved. Lab testing will also allow the conveying product properties to be evaluated.

Dense phase pneumatic conveying systems and industrial conveying equipment operate below the minimum suspension velocity and are characterized by product moving along the bottom of the pipe in conveying slugs or a moving air conbeying bed. The product that receives air or pneumatic conveying principles is air or vacuum powder conveyed below its saltation velocity at high differential conveying pressures. Air and vacuum powder conveying velocities are typically less than 2600 FPM and material to air ratios of up to 100 to 1 are possible. Interaction of the conveying particles in a dense phase pneumatic conveying system is greater than in dilute phase pneumatic conveying systems.

Common industrial applications for dense phase pneumatic conveying systems include products with heavy bulk-densities, abrasive products, friable products, blended products and in some instances products that do not require continuous conveying delivery to their end destination. In many cases, the conveying product needs to be evaluated based on process needs and possibly lab tested prior to final pneumatic conveying system selection to ensure the desired results can be achieved. Lab testing will also allow the conveying product properties to be evaluated.
